Phil lack’s full name is Philip ‘Phil’ C. Laak is an Irish-American professional poker player and a poker commenter.

He was born on 8th December, 1972 in Dublin, Ireland. He raised in Boston, ME a completed his Education there. He got his Mechanical engineer Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Currently he is living in LA, California. He tried a number of occupations prior to the entered in to poker. He is former roommate of well-known poker player Antonio Esfandiari. His nickname is ‘Unabomber’ due to hooded sweatshirt and dark sunglasses he always wears on poker table.

Phil holds the “Guinness world record for poker Endurance” after clocking marathon 115 hours poker session at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. He is one of the few poker players who achieved both the WSOP bracelet and WPT title. Phil in collaboration with his mate Antonio created their popular television show called ‘I bet you’. He also writes articles in the regular columns of Bluff magazine. The magazine is all about the poker and his players. Phil is a colorful character enjoying his love life by dating an Oscar nominated actress Jennifer Tilly. He played his first poker game on Feb 2002 in LA poker classic where he finished at 18th place and cashed $1,720. On Nov 2002 in Uncle Louie, Sanjose he got first position and took $15,660 home. Then on April 2003 he visited WPT for first time but he cashed the WPT title on Feb 2004 in LA and achieved $1, 00,000. First time he visited WSOP championship on June 2005 at 36th WSOP where he finished at second place and cashed $156,400. He also won the William Hill poker in Grand Prix at Cardiff, on Oct 2005 and cashed $265,290. He cashed $150,000 in Pro-AM equalizer tour, LA where he finished at second place. On Jan 2007 in poker after dark, He finished at first place and cashed $120,000. He won the WSOP Gold bracelet on Sep 2010 in WSOP London and took home $263,994.
