Prominent poker player Phil Hellumuth has decided not to participate in the $125,000 buy-in PartyPoker.com Premier League Poker V which is slated to take place in Vienna next month. Hellmuth is known as The Poker Brat and it was expected that he would join the likes of Phil Laak, Tom Dwan, Daniel Cates, Luke Schwartz and several others for the event.

Hellmuth has player in majority of the Premier League of the Poker events and he is 11 time World Series Of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner. He enjoyed his best run way back in 2007 when he finished third at the final table after winning four out of the six group matches.

The inaugural series was won by Finnish star Juha Helppi for $ 125,000 and Hellmuth has decided that with so many disappointing results in the Premier League enough is enough. Hellmuth’s decision can be understood considering that there is a star-studded line up for the latest series and he has not received any kind of support from his arch rival Tony G, who has taken a few digs at him.

At his PartyPoker blog, Tony G has written that Hellmuth has not got any sponsor and therefore he does not have the bankroll or the heart. This could lead to a war of words between Tony G and Hellmuth and the former enjoys an upper hand when it comes to torturing Hellmuth. The event will be produced by Matchroom Sport and will be presented by a Team Party Poker Pro Kara Scott.
